Holiday 2008 - Believe
Here it is, this year's holiday illustration. So if you get a card from us, this will be on it. Last year's theme was "Peace," this year's is "Believe." I think it's about being willing to picture things that you can't see right in front of you and go forward with hope. And, of course Nessie and Bigfoot are gonna make a bajillion dollars selling videos of each other... maybe.
I originally set this one in a pine forest but then decided it was more likely that Bigfoot would go see Nessie in her lake, so I went with the stark hills of Scotland. Such a dramatic place.

Funny Times Cover! Yay!
This image is on the cover of the December issue of the Funny Times, because they are fabulous people. They have been publishing my work for over 15 years now, even when I wasn't consistent with getting them new stuff. They rock. Buy many copies and subscriptions to their paper. We love them.
Hungry?
I thought of this one today as I kept trying to do one more thing and one more thing before finding some lunch -- until I finally had to eat something, but by then it was dinner time... so technically I don't know if I ate lunch for dinner or what.
The Funny Times Rocks.
So I'm told the Funny Times is going to use one of my illustrations on the cover of their December issue!! This is very exciting indeed. So if you get it, watch for me! And if you don't, well, go get a subscription. They are quality folks with a quality paper and they've been publishing my stuff basically forever. I love them.

I am reminded of this one every time I see something about an air guitar contest. How about air flute? Or air oboe? Maybe they'll come out with Accordion Hero. I would buy that.
Wearing Out
I think I'm at about this point with my mattress cover thingy. But you know, the cat spends a lot more time on there than I do - so maybe I should watch for a cat-shaped indentation in case I need to fish him out of there.
